The term was adopted by looksmaxxing communities to describe facial dominance specifically. A person with a stronger jawline, better canthal tilt, or higher PSL score "mogs" someone with weaker features. Looksmaxxers began rating and comparing each other using structured scales, which eventually led to platforms like Omoggle.
